Wow, I just was in the backyard watering the flowers. Forget the garden….it’s history! Anyway, that stifling, blood curdling heat seems to be dissipating. Yeah! I’ve always considered myself a sweater person. Like it just a bit “nippy”! How ’bout you? There’s something quiet and serene on a Fall day. The birds are singing and I’ve seen several butterflies today! No matter the weather, take time to be thankful today. It’ll change your thoughts, which will change your world! Good Morning and Top of the Day to You, Here’s something to think about as you wander through the Game of Life today:

There was a man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.

Another man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the man said: “It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?”

Don’t give up loving. Don’t give up your goodness. Even if the people around you HURT and STING.

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.

Had enough of the coooooooolllllllddddd??????? I’m starting to realize what my little Henry (The Tulip Bulb) felt in the dark, damp, cold ground. Wow, time to light a fire in the fireplace, make a pot of chili and think of warm, sultry summer breezes. How ’bout you? What do you like to do when it’s cold and dark outside? Maybe you could warm your heart with prayer and meditation and a cup of hot, steamy coffee????? I feel my “blanky” calling….just wanted to wish you a very Happy, Henry Day and lots of love and hugs, Linda

As we prepare for a weekend of Thankful Celebrations, let us remember to live with a grateful heart….always! God’s Voice is eternal and changeless. He leads us to decisions based on trust, compassion, understanding and kindness. Your conscience is a Great Teacher who lives within you. And even more than a Great Teacher, your conscience is a Great Treasure. Our country was founded on these principles. I pray that we, as a nation, will once again return to the “Proddings” from this Great Friend.
