Wow, I just was in the backyard watering the flowers. Forget the garden….it’s history! Anyway, that stifling, blood curdling heat seems to be dissipating. Yeah! I’ve always considered myself a sweater person. Like it just a bit “nippy”! How ’bout you? There’s something quiet and serene on a Fall day. The birds are singing and I’ve seen several butterflies today! No matter the weather, take time to be thankful today. It’ll change your thoughts, which will change your world! I want to be a Winner!

Today is about challenges, discouragements and disappointments and it’s also about inspiration, encouragement and fortitude!!! Remember the movie, “Rocky”?? Well, I understand Sylvester Stallone wrote that movie and could have given up after writing many movies that never made it. With less than $100 in the bank, he “showed up”, persisted and went on to write three more successful sequels. Since that movie, there isn’t a day that people don’t show up on the steps of the Philedelphia Art Museum. They run up those steps, waving their arms in the air as a sign of facing a challenge head-on! They’ve placed themselves in the shoes of “Rocky”. Do you lead a life that encourages others to never give up??? Is there anyone who would want to put themselves in “your shoes”??? If you’ve got a dream, never, never give up! History shows us that those who continue are the ones that win! And, you, my friend, are a winner!!! So let’s run the race together, shall we??? Have a great one!

Good Morning and Top of the Day to You, Here’s something to think about as you wander through the Game of Life today:

There was a man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.

Another man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the man said: “It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?”

Don’t give up loving. Don’t give up your goodness. Even if the people around you HURT and STING.

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.

Had enough of the coooooooolllllllddddd??????? I’m starting to realize what my little Henry (The Tulip Bulb) felt in the dark, damp, cold ground. Wow, time to light a fire in the fireplace, make a pot of chili and think of warm, sultry summer breezes. How ’bout you? What do you like to do when it’s cold and dark outside? Maybe you could warm your heart with prayer and meditation and a cup of hot, steamy coffee????? I am in awe….in awe of His Wonder! There’s a feeling of excitement in me this morning. Like something really great’s about to happen!

It’s still Dark out There!

The birds aren’t even rousing yet! The neighbor’s cats are still in the house and all is quiet. Maybe your eyes haven’t even begun to open while others are still on the job and/or driving to get there! As I begin my morning with prayer, I remember you.
