I spent the afternoon with my girlfriends at the beach yesterday! One walked on each side of me for stabilization. Afterward we took a swim in the salt water pool….wow, we’ve been swimming together since grade school. And, Roonie and I even share the same birthday. JoAnn is still a remarkable swimmer….I’ve never seen anyone cut through the water with such ease and grace! Lifelong friends….if you’ve got some….hang on to them. They are the ones there when the “rubber hits the road!” We can laugh and share our deepest feelings….and all at the same time! I love my friends and I count myself very blessed to have them. Tell a friend you love them today! You’ll feel better for it and they’ll feel better, too…maybe one is waiting to hear it from you! Hugs, Linda

One of my favorite places in St. Augustine is the Bridge of Lions. It has been undergoing a full restoration for several years now and is scheduled to be completed late 2009. Let your life be illustrated by bridges, not walls, my friends. Use it to “cross over” troubled waters, mend brokeness, and to rebuild your life and others. Somedays a full restoration might be needed, other days a “temporary fix”. Either way, your life will be better for it and the world will have witnessed true salt.

Haven’t the days been perfect here? I talked to my family up north and it’s snowing and cold. I love this Florida weather. And am thankful for no snow or ice on the windshield. If you can’t think of anything else to be thankful for today, just start being thankful for these beautiful crisp skies and pretty soon, you’ll be seeing other things around you for which you can be thankful. Have a great Henry Day…..Life truly is Good!!!
I just got back from a mini-tour of St. Augustine. We went to the Lighthouse
, the Alligator Farm,
CVS (we had to pick up some batteries for my smoke detector and a little gift for a friend) and, finally, the beach.
I took my sandals off at the beach and was quite happy that I walked 10 minutes out and 10 minutes back. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Day. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and a beautiful time to be alive.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
