It’s still Dark out There!

The birds aren’t even rousing yet! The neighbor’s cats are still in the house and all is quiet. Maybe your eyes haven’t even begun to open while others are still on the job and/or driving to get there! As I begin my morning with prayer, I remember you. I am praying for this world, this nation, my neighbors, my family, my friends. And, I am thanking the Father for you, for your wonderful talents, for the many smiles and encouragements and for the ability to capture them with my eyes, my hands, my memory. Have a great day, my friend, the morning awaits your “Quiet Presence”! Hugs, Linda

Good Morning!

As your feet hit the floor this morning, may you be ever reminded of the Father’s “Quiet Presence” in your life. Take a few moments to thank Him and to set yourself on the right path. Let Him direct your ways today…..let your day be filled with excitement. And, isn’t this cooler weather fantastic?… not quite, “sweater weather” but pretty close. My first cup of coffee awaits me. And, don’t you love that first sip? Have a great day….walk in His truths and be guided by love! Your friend, Linda

A Tuesday to Love!

When Henry the Tulip was just a little bulb, he had no idea what the “Big Plan” was for him. Each day holds a beautiful gift to us, and with that being said, an aire of excitment should awaken you each morning! There’s a big plan for your life, too! Tap into the Creator of you and this universe. He has a beautiful plan for you, my friend! Embrace life and all it has to offer! Take a moment to tell God that you love Him and be thankful for all of His blessings! A brand new day awaits! I’m praying for you to have a wonderful one! Your friend, Linda

Saturday Afternoon Football!

Do you feel it in the air???? The neighbor’s cats are chasing each other. The trees have a slight breeze running through them and the skies are overcast. It’s Florida, though, so the humidity’s still high and the flowers still beg for water!

Every man I know is now gluing himself to his “Big Screen” on this day of the week. Reminds me of when I lived in Ohio…..fireplace going, crunchy apples, popcorn and of course, “Go Bucks!”

Whether you’re throwing the pigskin or watching it, don’t forget the “game of life!” Have fun, hug your children, pray for our country and smile…..somebody might just might seriously need it! Hugs, Linda

Second Chances

We serve a God of second chances….and, thankfully, so! As were His very own disciples; like, for instance, Peter….each day is a second chance on life! A chance to do better, to love longer, to live happier, and to remain in faith.

As a painter, I find a new canvas to be so refreshing and even exhilerating. Mixing up the paints, sketching out the composition, and then virtually laying out the vibrant color….wow! I believe if we looked at each day with God, in that same way, we would take on a more joyful approach to our journey.

Have a “Wow” day, my friend, and know that you are blessed!
It’s a day of second chances for all of us!

Hugs, Linda

Sunny Saturday Afternoon

I had lunch on the beach today….how exhilerating! It was hot, breezy and the waves were pretty intense but people finiggled their umbrellas, tossed off their flip-flops and threw themselves into the water! Life is kind of like that……just throw yourself into it and love each moment! God is so good to us. Your friend, Linda

Good Morning!

A wonderful cup of coffee is sitting here beside me enveloping my studio with that awesome smell of cream, coffee beans and hazelnut. M-m-m, isn’t the first sip the best?? Even before that first sip, have you spoken to the Father??? I try to before my feet hit the ground as it “sets” my mood for the day. And even if the world seems to be falling all around me, I know that He loves me, that He takes care of me and His plans for me are only for my good. Psalm 16:8 says, “I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” As our world seems to be getting a good “shaking up”, remember your Creator, cast your cares on Him, and He promises that you will not be “shaken”. Pat your pet on the head, hug your children and love your God today! You’ll be surprised as to the greatness that will be unveiled. Have a really great one, Linda

In the Heat of the Day!

I spent the afternoon with my girlfriends at the beach yesterday! One walked on each side of me for stabilization. Afterward we took a swim in the salt water pool….wow, we’ve been swimming together since grade school. And, Roonie and I even share the same birthday. JoAnn is still a remarkable swimmer….I’ve never seen anyone cut through the water with such ease and grace! Lifelong friends….if you’ve got some….hang on to them. They are the ones there when the “rubber hits the road!” We can laugh and share our deepest feelings….and all at the same time! I love my friends and I count myself very blessed to have them. Tell a friend you love them today! You’ll feel better for it and they’ll feel better, too…maybe one is waiting to hear it from you! Hugs, Linda

What a glorious day!

I’m in my studio….the light is filtering through the trees…..awe, it’s warm but glorious! The music is drifting around my canvases, my coffee’s on the desk, my brushes are neatly placed beside me and the place smells of gold! (Literally) As I drip and pour the beauty of liquid gold, I am reminded of God’s love for us! He surrounds us with His beauty and nourishes our souls with His goodness. Just breathe Him in and fill your day with His goodness! I am refreshed and my mind is clear. May you be, as well! A great Big Henry Hug, Linda

My friend, life can be sooooo exciting…I’ve been traveling to some pretty exotic places! West Palm Beach…..Worth Ave! I’ve been to Rodeo Drive and to 5th and Madison….Worth Avenue is by far the most fabulous!!! Open yourself up to new adventures and believe that your day is going to be filled with them….and, it will happen! I’m a “witness” to the wonderment of our life…so freely given! Wow! I feel blessed and content…how ’bout you??? Listen to that still, small Voice inside of you…it beckons you to the wonderment of everything beautiful! And, most of all, be thankful to the friends who help to make it miraculous!!! I am, thankful to you, my friends for making it happen for me! ( a girl who slightly limps and sometimes forgets things…..but you love me, anyway!) Hugs, Linda
